National Geographic, PHOTO ARK – Joel Sartore
JOEL SARTORE, internationally renowned National Geographic photographer has devoted a large part of his life to photographing animal species (12,000 to date) in order to establish a directory of global biodiversity which he calls the PHOTO ARK.
This essential testimony for scientists and researchers also serves as a plea to defend our biodiversity, which must be preserved. When a species goes extinct, our ecosystem suffers.
This exhibition places us face to face with the animal and makes us consider our power to influence the extinction of animal species and our own human condition.
Incredibly beautiful photographs.
A truly emotional moment to experience at the Abbey of Stavelot !
